Second edition of ExpoArpia
A second and successful edition of our beloved
EXPOARPIA took place at the Argentine Rural
Society’s Fair Grounds on 27-30 August.
The exhibition served as meeting place for
colleagues from different parts of the world,
allowing the exchange of ideas and knowledge,
the sharing of experiences, and the promotion
of the sector’s development.
The sector’s companies
gave their ample support to the fair, taking
up 60% more space than in the previous edition,
and receiving the visit of nearly 6,000 people
each day from 1 to 8 PM.
In his opening speech, Rene Bollag remarked
that “a little over two years ago,
when we held our first analytical equipment
and instrumentation event, ExpoArpia 2005,
as Martin Luther King before us, we said
we had a dream. The dream has now come true,
and today, with the opening of our second
exhibition and technical & commercial
conference cycle, we can add without a doubt
that our dream has grown and has become more
and more ambitious. (…)
We have worked tirelessly for a year and
a half, holding long meetings, and stealing
time from our companies and families to devote
it to this ExpoArpia (…)”
Together with ExpoFybi, the 2nd Ibero-American
Analytical Chemistry Congress, the 4th Argentine
Analytical Chemistry Congress, the 11th Argentine
Pharmacy and Industrial Biochemistry Congress,
and the 9th edition of JorFybi, the fair
took up 11,000 m2, providing all the comfort
to its distinguished participants, which
included many professionals and representatives
from the country’s hinterland and from
abroad.
The 54 technical & commercial presentations
made by Argentine and foreign companies provided
cost-free training and news updates on the
latest technology trends within the market,
while the exhibiting companies had the opportunity
to show their new products in detail.
Professionals from the different sectors
of the market praised the quality of the
exhibited products and the seriousness with
which the participating companies took the
event.
Enrique Salvo, chairman of the Organizing Committee,
expressed at the opening ceremony that “I

us meet this ExpoArpia 2007 goal (…)

holding of this joint exhibition, and, specially,
its chairman, Dr. Federico Montes de Oca
