Buenos Aires, June 3rd, 2005 The first exhibition of the Association of Dealers and Suppliers of Analytical Instruments and Related Items, ExpoArpia 2005, was held on 1-3 June at the Buenos Aires Government’s Exhibition Center.

In its debut at the fair market, ExpoArpia had the presence of 66 exhibitors, including suppliers of analytical and laboratory instrumentation and establishments related to scientific work and chemical, biochemical, and petrochemical research.

Over 2,000 professionals visited the fair and attended the 50 commercial presentations and 18 scientific dissertations by members of State universities and public institutions such as INTI, the Argentine Water Institute, and the Argentine Viticulture Institute, among others.

"In general, we may say we are amply satisfied with the results obtained in this first exhibition", commented Rene Bollag, chairman of the fair’s Organizing Committee, who added that "we achieved something unprecedented, absolutely unthinkable a few years ago in Argentina: to join the wills of colleagues to set up an association with a purpose common to all. And we managed to hold a visually attractive first exhibition which on account of its attendance we may say was quite a success. Today, we have no doubt that it was the first ExpoArpia, that there will be more."
